Funeral Service Process
The family is to inform the Pastor about the passing of a Congregation member. A form will be sent to the family to fill out about the passing member and returned after completion.
The requested form asks the following information: Name and Surname, Date of birth, Date of passing, Place of passing; whether the deceased was a current member of the Congregation and if under 95 years of age whether they have paid their annual membership within the last three years; whether the deceased will be cremated or buried; whether the deceased would like a church service or a service in a different location.
Note: If the family wishes to hold a funeral at The Church of the Holy Cross, the family is to take responsibility for setting up for the wake, providing food and drinks and for cleaning the church at after the funeral.

Any questions or queries regarding urn internments at The Church of the Holy Cross cemetery can be directed towards Anna Jaster tel. 0408 585 487 . The family will be informed about the burial process, the plan of the cemetery, place of burial, size and suggestions about the text of the desired plaque and any other enquiries.

First urn placement - $1000
Second urn placement - $1000
First coffin placement - $1000 (plus coffin lowering costs)
Second coffin placement - $1000 (plus coffin lowering costs)
Urn and coffin burial places for non-members of the Congregation
First urn placement - $2000
Second urn placement - $2000
First coffin placement - $2000 (plus coffin lowering costs)
Second coffin placement - $2000 (plus coffin lowering costs)
Urns and grave sites have double placements.
Noteworthy:
Please inform us regarding previously owned and paid for burial or urn placements at The Church of the Holy Cross section of "Fawkner Cemetery" and send a copy of the invoice.
The treasurer would like to know from Congregation members information regarding previous urn agreements and expired terms.
The Congregation board asks family members and relatives information about urn placement and corresponding plaques at "Fawkner Cemetery", so that the Congregation board can have a better understanding of mapping the Latvian section.
